Our client, a leading North East law firm, are recruiting for an experienced Childcare Paralegal/ Childcare Fee Earner to join their team in Gateshead. It is essential that the successful candidate has a minimum of 2 years' experience dealing with childcare proceedings for this role.
The firm are open to an experienced paralegal, or a fee earner who is confident in running their own caseload. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' public childcare experience, either gained within the public sector or private practice.
Responsibilities:
- Handling a caseload of public childcare work, to include child abduction, child protection issues, special guardianship and adoption matters.
- Providing an expert level of client care at all times.
- Attending to clients in person.
- Drafting of applications and legal documentation.
- Corresponding with clients and third parties.
- Court attendance.
Requirements:
- Upwards of 2 years' public childcare experience is essential.
