In-house Litigation Solicitor

Sacco Mann is working alongside a FTSE 100 listed company and a leading UK house builder serving local communities across the UK and delivering around 10,000 homes a year. Their established and highly regarded In-house legal team has a rare opportunity for a Litigation Solicitor to complement the team on a hybrid basis from their HQ in York.

Reporting directly to the Director of Legal, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years PQE and will take responsibility for dealing with or overseeing householder litigation (including Code applications and ADR) on behalf of the Group, as well as monitoring the work conducted by external litigation solicitors including cost spend and risk analysis.

This is a pivotal position and you'll collaboratively work with the Group Director of Legal Services, MDs, customer care teams and others to mitigate the chances of litigation including the provision of training and Group instructions. As such communication and relationship building skills are an essential prerequisite, not least as you'll be supervising and training junior staff in litigation and providing advice on litigious or potentially litigious land law issues and commercial issues as required to key stakeholders.

This is wide reaching and expansionist In-house role rarely open to lawyers from a contentious background. The role comes with a competitive salary, car and bonus and is offered on hybrid basis with 2 days option to work from home after 6 months.
