An international law firm based in Leeds City Centre has an exceptional opportunity for a Professional Indemnity Solicitor to join its highly experienced team as a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL). A great role for a Solicitor keen to transition away from fee earning and join one of the market leading firms in this area, in what would be an excellent career move. Applicants will be considered on both a full and part time basis and this firm has a very flexible approach to hybrid working.
The role
The role of the PSL is incredibly varied and certainly shouldn't be viewed as a back office position. Your day to day will involve horizon scanning and keeping up to date with changes in the law, managing learning & development initiatives including training both internally with colleagues and also for clients (including many major insurers), supporting on technically complex issues, involvement in business planning for the team, support on marketing and business development opportunities including the production of articles and many other matters.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to progress your career away from fee earning (and everything that goes along with it, such as time recording), whilst still being heavily involved in the technical nature of professional indemnity legal work, and maintaining a range of relationships both internally and externally.
The Candidate
The firm is looking for qualified solicitors with strong experience in professional Indemnity law. As a guideline they have advised the ideal candidate is likely to have a minimum of 5 years PQE. Applicants with a high level of commercial acumen are encouraged to apply.
